Pupils from Key Stage 3 who have been involved in writing in the History Magazine and members of ‘Cake Club’ on Mondays where we have been investigating the Ancient World, enjoyed a visit to the Roman Museum at Ribchester.
Curator Patrick gave us an introductory talk about the history of the museum itself and then pupils visited the exhibits both in the museum and outside. They enjoyed looking at the many aspects Roman life reflected in the artefacts which have been excavated over centuries and were particularly impressed by the remains of the bath house.
Pupils then enjoyed a rewarding ice cream, particularly for those who had helped to deliver the award-winning magazine last year. Our thanks to Patrick for his warm welcome and informative talk.
