Oakhill Nursery are looking for qualified childcare practitioners to work in our Outstanding nursery. We are situated in a quiet, tree-lined residential area in the heart of the Ribble Valley and within close walking distance from Whalley town centre and the train station.

Our dedicated nursery team are looking for an enthusiastic practitioners who have a passion to nurture happy children and a strong drive to promote high quality childcare. We work with the key-person system to enhance children’s learning and development, using online learning journals. Ideally, you should hold an NVQ Level 3, have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and have some experience in a childcare setting.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
  • In possession of a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage

Additional Information

  • The Nursery is open 50 weeks per year and holidays can be taken throughout.
  • Nursery opening times are Monday – Friday from 7.20am to 6.00pm.
  • Once you are appointed a permanent position you will get 20 days holiday plus bank holidays plus the time we are closed over the Christmas period.

Assistant Caretaker

Part-time assistant caretaker required to carry out general maintenance and repairs. Approximately 15 hours a week over 5 days. Immediate start, past experience would be preferred but is not essential.

Bus Driver

Part-time bus driver required to carry out collection and drop-off of school children along specified routes. The role will be for 12 hours a week over 3 days, 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. Immediate start, past experience would be preferred but is not essential.
