Last week our prep and senior orienteers took part in the borough event. Friday morning saw our 2 senior teams enter. After a rotation of 4 map reading skills sessions the teams took on a 20minute timed event. Our teams performed fantastically well and our green team captained by Year 9 pupil Charlie, won over all taking the gold medals.
We returned in the afternoon to a very busy prep event where we took 3 teams of mixed pairs. Our teams were selected on their Cross country performance as unfortunately the year has been so busy, we haven’t been able to fit in our usual bloom of orienteering in lessons. Our boys and girls worked excellently together, learning to orientate the map then putting their skills into practice during the event. Excellent timing, coordination and team work was evident throughout the afternoon. Well done to all all involved!
