On Remembrance Day pupils from years 6, 7 and 11 represented school in laying a wreath at Whalley War Memorial. As is usually the case, they were commended on their behaviour and their appearance and we were delighted when some of our year 7 pupils were asked to lay an additional wreath created by members of the Whalley community to also remember the animals lost during war times. In school, the remaining students and staff observed a two minute silence and we were also happy to support the Scout and Guiding association by allowing pupils who are members of those organisations to wear their uniforms for the day. It was also a pleasure to recognise some of the senior students who are active members of cadet forces.
