Year Ten enjoyed time together in the fresh air on Sunday morning as they took their first steps towards their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Expedition. Starting from Downham, they practised map reading and navigation skills with a series of challenges set by Mr Peel and Mrs Raho.

A lot was learnt about how to use an OS map and compass, and how to work together to navigate successfully. The rain held off perfectly too! Pupils will continue to practise their skills in preparation for their two-day expeditions next summer.
