Year 10 enjoyed glorious weather for their first 2 day DofE expedition this weekend. They have been training since last September, fine tuning their navigation, and preparing equipment ready for setting up camp – some have even learnt to cook for the first time!
Groups completed their two day walk from Gisburn all the way back to Oakhill, camping overnight at Clarion House near Barley. A real challenge when you have to carry everything, but year 10 rose to it brilliantly and all finished with a smile on their face! They can now look forward to the final expedition next month. Well done everyone.
