Oakhill’s 2025 GCSE results once again demonstrate that academic excellence and personal growth go hand in hand.
Nearly 40% of grades were awarded at Level 7+, with exceptional performance across English, Maths and Science. These results underline the value of small classes, dedicated teachers and a culture where every pupil is known, supported and inspired to achieve their best.
Our students demonstrated exceptional progress, with many pupils achieving one or more grades higher than predicted. Our value-added outcomes are outstanding, showing how Oakhill’s supportive and individualised approach enables pupils to exceed expectations across every ability level.

Core Subjects
English Language and Literature
Strong teaching, small class sizes and a focus on confidence in communication have helped pupils excel in reading, writing and analysis. Many pupils achieved grades above their predictions, with Literature showing particularly impressive progress.
Mathematics
In Mathematics, over half of all grades (52%) were Level 6+, with several pupils securing top grades of 8 and 9.
This represents significant value-added progress across the ability range, reflecting targeted support, one-to-one guidance and an emphasis on reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Religious Education
RE once again achieved some of the school’s best results, with a high proportion of pupils gaining Levels 7–9.
The subject remains a cornerstone of the Oakhill curriculum, reflecting the school’s values-led ethos and focus on critical thinking, reflection and personal development.
Science
Science continues to be one of Oakhill’s strongest performing departments.
Across the cohort, 83% of Separate Science grades (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) were Level 7+, and results in Combined Science were similarly strong, with the majority achieving grades 5–7.
The results reflect the quality of specialist teaching, practical learning experiences and the school’s strong focus on curiosity and investigation.
Other Subject Successes
- Humanities (Geography and History): Strong results, with many pupils achieving Levels 6–9 and performing above predictions.
- Modern Languages: High achievement in both French and Spanish, with top grades of 8 and 9 attained.
- Creative Arts: Excellent results in Art, 3D Design, Music and Drama, showcasing pupils’ creativity and commitment.
- Business Studies and Computer Science: Strong outcomes, with students excelling in coursework and theory components.
- Physical Education: Continued success in both practical and written assessments, reflecting the breadth of opportunity at Oakhill.
