What age can my child start at Oakhill?
Children can join our Nursery from birth, and we accept new pupils at all year levels subject to availability.
Will my child have enough friends in a small class?
Yes, small class sizes are one of Oakhill’s greatest strengths. They allow us to truly get to know every child as an individual and ensure their needs are fully supported. Pupils build strong friendships within their class and also benefit from mixing across year groups, particularly during activities such as games and enrichment. This helps to create a close-knit, family atmosphere where children feel confident, included and well supported.
What sports opportunities are available?
We offer a wide range of sports and are proud of our strong sporting provision. Pupils are able to participate in all mainstream sports and games as well as less common activities such as dodgeball or golf. Older pupils are also able to access our gym and leisure facilities.
What is the food like at Oakhill?
We are proud to have our own on-site chef, who prepares fresh, nutritious and balanced meals each day. A range of options are available each day including vegetarian options and alternatives for pupils with dietary requirements. In addition, we have sandwiches, pasta and a salad bar available every day.
How does the school communicate with parents?
Strong communication with parents is very important to us at Oakhill. We are approachable, responsive and always happy to talk. Parents are welcome on site and we encourage regular, open contact with staff. Because of our small, family-focused environment, we take the time to really know each child and work closely with parents to support them, ensuring you feel confident that your child is understood, cared for and thriving.
